Chittagong University is one of the most renowned public universities in Bangladesh. The Authority has recently published Chittagong Unversity Admission Circular 2019-20 on their official website as well as in the national dailies. According to the Circular, the admission process will begin on September 12, 2019, and the Admission test will be started on 26 October 2019. Chittagong University Admission Requirement

Due to the corruption-free HSC exam, this year HSC exam result will not be good enough. That’s the reason why the Chittagong University authority doesn’t increase the qualification level of HSC students. Total GPA will remain the same as the previous year. The Chittagong University authority has launched some new subjects on the different department. For this reason, the Total Seat number will increase.

CU Unit wise Admission Requirement

Science Faculty: This faculty is under A Unit. Minimum Total GPA Requirement for this unit is 7.50 out of 10 and Individual 3.50 in both SSC and HSC.

Faculty of Arts: Arts and Humanities Faculty belongs to B Unit. Students have to acquire 6.50 out of 10 to apply for this faculty. Minimum GPA in SSC and HSC os 2.75. Another subunit is available under this faculty. Where only three subjects are available Dramatics, Fine arts. & Music. It is known as B1 unit. To apply this unit one applicants need minimal GPA 3.25 in HSC & SSC and in the sum they need GPA 7.00.

Faculty of Business Administration: It is one of the most competitive faculty at Chittagong University. Candidates have to obtain 7.50 in total and 3.50 individually. This faculty deals with the C Unit

Social Science Faculty: To apply for the Social Science Faculty one needs to get 7.00 out of 10 and the minimum requirement is 3.25 in both SSC and HSC or Equivalent Exam. It is under D unit. There has another subunit under D unit. It is a D1 unit. For this unit applicants need GPA 2.50 individually in SSC & HSC and in the sum GPA 6.00.

Department of Law: To create the quality full lawyer this faculty was established. The minimum requirement is 6.00 out of 10 and 2.75 individual exam. The Faculty is under E Unit

Faculty of Biological Science: If anyone interested in Biological Subject, he has to obtain 7.00 in total GPA Score and 3.00 in each SSC and HSC. F Unit deals with this faculty

Faculty of Engineering: Total GPA 7.00 and 3.00 out of 10 and 5.00 respectively. This Faculty exam will be held under G unit

Faculty of Education: This is comparatively new faculty in comparison with others. there are only two subjects in this faculty. It is under B unit. The requirements are also the same.

How to Apply For CU Admission

There are 8 units in Chittagong University. A Student can apply in any unit if he is eligible. There are more than 3500 seats at Chittagong University. To apply for each unit they have to pay 475 BDT for each Unit. one can apply more than one unit.

• Click on the Submit Button
• Check the Details and Eligible Units

• Provide Photo, Mobile No, and Other information Button

• Send SMS according to the Provided information.
• Complete the Payment
• Download the payment Copy

Chittagong University Admission Circular 2019-20

Some of the Quotas like Actor and Player Quota has been canceled by the Cu Authority. Instead of this quota, two new subjects have been introduced. These are Music and Physical Education Quota. They have to pass in the MCQ and viva exam.

Chittagong University Admission Test Result

Normally the Chittagong University Authority published their admission test result little bit faster than any other university. Generally, after one of the unit’s admission test, they publish its result on their official website. Candidates will get their result within 24 hours. Rather all of it, they also postering the admission test result on the notice board of the faculty. So guys don’t get panic for the result.

Chittagong University Admit Card Download

Candidate can download the admit card from 9th October 2019. They can download it before to 1 hour of the admission test. Make sure that one candidate has to download two copy of admit card. One copy will be reserved by the authority. Another copy is for his/her own. With admission test admit card they also have to carry their HSC exam’s Admit card and Registration card.
