Diploma Nursing admission

Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Admission Circular 2021-22 has been published for 2580 seats. A total of 43 Govt nursing institutes are offered 3 years duration base Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery course for HSC passed students. They conduct their admission program under the Department of Nursing and Midwifery where 38 (thirty-eight) government midwifery institutes, 43 (thirty-three) nursing institutes, and 11 nursing colleges are existing. All these are approved and registered by the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council. They are offering a Diploma in Midwifery, Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSc in Nursing), and Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery. Now they have published their admission circular for the 1st-year admission program. Let’s see the full Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Admission Circular 2021-22.

Candidate’s Educational Qualification for Admission

  • Diploma in Midwifery: Minimal GPA (Grade Point Average) 2.50 in SSC or equivalent examination within the year of 2017, 2018, and 2019. In HSC or equivalent examination candidates need a minimum GPA 2.50 within the year 2019, 2020, and 2021. Only female candidates can apply.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSC in Nursing): Those who have passed HSC examinations with reading zoology in science background. Only who have passed HSC/equivalent examinations between the year of 2018, 2019 and 2021 can apply. The sum of the total GPA of SSC or equivalent exam and of HSC or equivalent examinations should be at least 6.00. In any case, the GPA (grade point average) of SSC or equivalent exam and HSC or equivalent examination will not be allowed below 2.50.
  • Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery: Candidates have to pass SSC or equivalent examination within the years 2016, 2017, and 2018 with a minimum GPA 2.50. Candidates also have to pass the HSC or equivalent examination between 2019, 2020, and 2021 with GPA 2.50 at least. There should be a minimal GPA 5.50 average in two exams. Grade Point Average will not be accepted under GPA 2.50 in any examination.

Terms for Admission:

  • The applicant must have to be a citizen of Bangladesh.
  • The candidate must have to be unmarried and well-cured (for the Diploma in Midwifery course marital status should have to be unmarried).
  • Freedom fighter quota: Twenty (twenty) seats are reserved for Diploma in Midwifery, 52 (fifty-two) seats for Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery courses, and 22 (twenty-two) seats for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. in Nursing) courses. These candidates also have to apply with minimum educational qualifications like others. The reserved seats will be filled on a full merit basis. 60% of the remaining seats will be selected on the basis of the National Merit Quota. The other 40% of the remaining will be selected on the basis of District Quotas.
  • The waiting list will be published based on the number of vacant seats (if they’re available any vacancy).

  • In which exam center the candidates are willing to give admission test, they have to specify the code number of the center and can apply through SMS. The Center name and code number are the following:

  • To apply for admission in Diploma In Midwifery Course, go to the message option via Teletalk pre-paid mobile phone and follow the SMS format: DGNM first three letters of the HSC Education Board Roll number of HSC examinations HSC Passing Year First three letters of SSC Education Board name SSC Roll number SSC pass year Code number of 10 nursing institute according to Your choice (mentioned in the notice) Enter desired quota keyword (if applicable). Send it to 16222.

  • To apply for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSC in Nursing) course, go to the message option through Teletalk Prepaid Mobile Phone and follow this format: DGNM first three letters of the HSC Education Board Roll number of HSC examinations HSC Passing Year First three letters of SSC Education Board name SSC Roll number SSC pass year Code number of 10 nursing institute according to Your choice (mentioned in the notice) Enter desired quota keyword (if applicable). Send it 16222 number too.
  • The application procedure is the same for the Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery Courses. Candidates just have to type N after DGNM instead of M/H., for example, the format:

Payment Method:

  • After successfully sending the above SMS and if all the information is correct applicants will receive a return message.
  • Applicants’ names and a Pin No will be mentioned in the return message.
  • In the return message, they will be asked for a deduction of the admission test fee.
  • The admission test fee for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSC in Nursing) is 700 BDT, for Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and Diploma in Midwifery course is 500 BDT.
  • Applicants have to send another SMS as consent SMS of the applicant.
  • The SMS format is the following: DGNM M YES PIN number space> Applicant mobile number (in any operator).
  • Save the Pin Number for next use.
  • After sending the SMS with consent, only the applicable amount of service charge and the admission test fees will be deducted from the applicant’s mobile phone.
  • Otherwise, the charges will not be cut down.
  • The application cannot be withdrawn if you once apply with consent.
  • After deducting the amount, the applicant will receive the User ID and password through an SMS.

Download Nursing Admit Card:

At the end of the application time, the authority will inform the applicants to Download Nursing Admit Card through SMS. They will inform you about the estimated date of downloading the admit card for the admission test. The applicants can be downloaded the admit card from the Nursing and Midwifery website (http://dgnm.teletalk.com.bd).

The eligible candidates have to post 01 (one) copy of the passport size photo of them. They can upload by scan the picture or take the picture to the digital camera. The photo dimension is 300 X 300 pixels is fixed for taking a picture to Digital cameras. The file size is not more than 100KB and saves it into JPEG format.

To download the admit card, go to http://dgund.teletalk.com.bd and input your own User ID and Password. If your given input is correct, then you will show the option of selecting your respective zones and uploading images. After selecting the respective zones and uploading the picture, applicants can download their admit card. Print it on A4 size offset paper. Give your signature on a fixed point of the printed copy.

Convenience and Restrictions During the Course:

  1. During the course, candidates cannot study any other educational institution.
  2. According to the syllabus/curriculum, participants should have to take part in the day and nightly theoretical (clinical practice) training.
  3. Monthly scholarships will be provided at the fixed rate during study time of the course.
  4. During the course, candidates must be followed by the rules and regulations of their respective educational institutions properly which are governing by the concerned universities and nursing and nursing council of Bangladesh.
  5. The male candidate has to arrange accommodation at his own charge.
  6. No TA / DA will be provided for the course.
  7. After the completion of the course, no guarantee of providing government service.
