Functions and options of Fb Audience Insight
Choose an Audience to start
When you have first access to the Facebook audience insights you will be asked choose one of following three options.

- People Connected to your page
- A Custom Audience
You can choose any option. If you want you can change it later.
What are the purposes of those options?
Everyone on Facebook
This option provides analytics of the whole Facebook Users. By default , this option is set up for the United States. You can change it (described below). If you want to understand about you niches, competitors and analyze them, you can select them.

It is quite an easy task. You don’t have to know a lot of things. Simply type your country name as shown in the pictures below.
People Connected to Facebook page
This is the second option you will find. The name of the option reveals it works. This is useful to understand your audiences. It only works with the pages you managed.
A Custom Audience
If you have a bulk of email list, want to understand the behavior of your customers you can use this. Not only that but also you can use it for your website visitors.
Country and Audiences
I have selected everyone on Facebook. By default, country name is the USA. I have deleted the country name. It shows total Facebook users which are about more than 1B monthly active people
If you see the right-hand side, you will notice that about the percentage of the user according to the gender and age. In the screenshot below it shows that about 44% users of Facebook are Women and the rest of the percentages are men.
You also notice the percentage of the users according to the age. You can add any country in the box. You also can add as many as you want.

In relationship status, you will see the percentages of single, in a relationship, Engaged and Married people. Education level also shows you number of high school student, colleges, and graduate school students.
Based on the self-reported data Facebook shows the analytics of Top industries of their users. Here is another option for knowing about your targeting people.
Here you will get the top category pages, top pages of that country. This will help you to narrow your audiences. You can also get the idea about them.
If you are going to target the specific cities or want to get idea about those audiences you can use this. This is a very useful option to understand the specific city and languages people.
