What is the JSC exam?
JSC (junior school certificate) is the second public exam in Bangladesh taken by students after completion of eight years of schooling. This exam has started in 2023. The exam was introduced as Madhyamik Britti or Junior Scholarship before JSC. This exam was also introduced so that the poor and destitute people of the country could do well in the exam.
Result of this exam based on GPA (Grade point average). The grading system depends on each subject average grade point. If a student gets 70 marks out of 100, it will count as GP 4.00 and 69 marks will count as GP 3.50.

JSC Exam 2023
This year the JSC exam was started on 2nd November. Because of cyclone Bulbul 9,11 and 12 November exam was postponed that’s why this year the JSC /JDC exam was finished on 14 November. According to previous years, authority always tries to publish the result within 30 or 45 days.
This year JSC/JDC exam began with the participation of 26,61,672 students. According to board officials, 14,39,987 are girls and 1,221,695 are boys among them. The number of students this year will take part in JSC is 2,260,716 under the general education board, while 400,966 under the madrasa board in JDC. 2,24,353 irregular students will take part this year at the same time 34,251 in JDC.
Out of the country, 454 students will participate in this examination at nine overseas centers in Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina, Doha, Tripoli, Oman, Bahrain, Abu-Dhabi and Dubai. Our Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni will visit PM Pilot High School in Keraniganj on Saturday. During the time of JSC and JDC, all coaching centers would remain closed from October 25 to November 15.
This year students have been asked to be present at the exam centers 30 minutes earlier, to avoid all unnecessary things. Inside the exam hall, students will not be allowed to take any electronic devices and all other things that can be used for copying. To avoid any kind of unpleasant situations additional members of law enforcing agencies will be deployed in and around the exam centers.
JSC Result 2023 publishing date
This year JSC/JDC result publishing date has already announced. The result will be announced most probably on 29 November.
Last year total of 3042 educational institutions achieved a 100 percent pass rate. 25,99,169 students were passed in JSC and JDC exam last year. 85.2 percent was the percentage last year, meanwhile, the percentage was 89 percent in Madrasa Board (JDC). Last year 68,095 students achieved GPA 5. We hope this year the number of getting GPA 5 students will increase more.
JSC Re-Scrutiny process 2023
Now we will discuss the Re-Scrutiny process. Every year many students pass the JSC/JDC exam, but not everyone gets the result they expect. Those students don’t obtain the expected result in their exam they can challenge their result and this is called the Re-Scrutiny Result or Board Challenge.
Now we will discuss the full process about this and we’ll also describe how to apply for Board Challenge. Thousands of students apply every year. Those students who want to apply they must apply within 5 days. Now follow the instructions below for Re – Scrutiny Result. Each subject will cost 125 TK as an application fee. The applying system is very easy and simple, you can apply via SMS by using a Tale talk pre-paid sim card.
Now follow these instructions.
1st SMS:
- First, go to your mobile message option and type RSC <space> the first three letters of your education board <space>your Roll number <space> the subject code and then send this to 16222.
- As an example: RSC CHI 653924 101
- After that you will get another SMS it will give you a pin code. For the next SMS, you will use that code.
2nd SMS:
- Now again go to your mobile message option and type RSC <space>Yes <space> pin code <space> Your Phone number and send this to 16222. Example: RSC Yes 6673 017********
- After this SMS you will get a tracking number, that number is essential for Board Challenge so save that number.
- Now those who want to challenge multiple papers, they must enter the subject code with a comma.
- Example: 101,103,107,108
