Shab e Meraj Prayers is one of the most significant rituals performed in the night of 27 Rajab. In this night Allah himself invited our Prophet Mohammad SAW to visit the Arsh of Allah. Muslim community observes this night with different celebrations. They also perform Sunnah prayer for the Shan of Rasul as well as they perform Nafl prayer as thanksgiving to Allah for making us Ummat e Muhammad SAW. How to Perform Shab e Meraj Prayers

Reading Holy Quran

Reading from holy Quran is one of the most meaningful activities in anytime specifically on these holy events like Miraj. You can recite any surah or any Ayah from Quran Sharif. If you don’t understand Arabic language then collect the copy of Quran with the translation of your language. This will help you to understand the meaning of the surah or verses you are reciting.

Reading Hadith

We all know that, when we couldn’t able to understand the meaning of verses of Quran to solve our problem then we come to Hadith which are the sayings of our Prophet. He explained everything when his components faced difficulties with these type of problem. By reading Hadith, you will be able to understand the actions of Rasul SAW in those situation.

Performing Fasting

You can fast for two days which distributes like this, one on the night of Meraj and another one before or after this night.

Performing Dua & Dhikr

You can perform Duas from Quran and Hadith which will help you asking mercy from Allah for your sins or asking help from Allah to solve your problems. You can also perform Dhikr also known as Zikr, by sitting on a Jainamaz or holy cloth and recite some specific words in the Shan of Allah with full concentration.

Performing Salah as a prayer in Meraj Night is one of the most observed activity. Muslims from every corner of the world are performing this. Here’s a step by step tips for how to perform Salah in Shab e Meraj. You can perform these Salah anytime in daytime or night or midnight.

There is a common method to perform this Salah. We’ll discuss about them below,

Method of Performing Shab e Meraj Namaz

You can perform any amount of Rakats you want to, though Rasul SAW performed different numbers of rakats in different time. Sometimes he performed 6 rakats or 10 rakats or 12 rakats as well. But he never specify the number of rakats you have to perform. We should follow the way he observed Salah in this night.

You can divide these 6/10/12 rakats in 2 or 4 rakats each part. You can divide each of them in 2 or 4 rakats but 10. If you want to observe 10 rakats then you can divide into three parts, two 4 rakats and one 2 rakats as well.

In every rakats you must include surah Fatiha and another surah after Fatiha. After reciting these Surah you need to perform one Ruku and two Sajdah in each rakat. After two rakat you need to sit down and read Tashahud and Durud Sharif as well.

After all these activities you must finish your Salah by making Salam each side of you, first in the right side and then left side of your arm as well.To perform these Salah you don’t need to do any extra precautions. You can perform these Salah in the traditional way as like as the five times prayer in every day.

Shab e Meraj Prayers are might be performed in different ways in different corners around the world. But the purpose of this celebration or observance must be to satisfy Allah for his grace toward us. In the night of Shab E Meraj our prophet bring back with most significant Ibadats which opened a lots of scopes to ask forgiveness and show our devotedness toward Allah. At last we must live our life according to the Quran and the Sunnah. Because our Prophet left us only these two books to follow and abide by. Let us be completely devoted in this night to observe this night in the right way of Rasul’s SAW Sunnah. May Allah allow us to maintain the right way to perform Shab e Meraj Prayers.
