Teenager Essay-2

Introduction: Teenage is a period of twilight between childhood and youth. It is a period of wild excitement and better disappointment. Loving attention paid by a young person of the opposite sex throws the teenagers into a state of raptures. Psychologically it is a great mess. Teenage is the time when a person is struggling to be born. He appears to be grown up to the outsiders but many a time he clings to his parents for support and fortifies his arguments.

A teenager's emotions: At times, an adolescent idolizes his father for all the love and comforts he has provided him even at the cost of personal conveniences. His father canceled a pleasure trip to nurse him when he was sick. He rejected an attractive job offer to remain in the town where his child continues to study in the prestigious school he had joined since his studies began. He has a great love and an admiration for his father.

On the other hand, the middle-aged parents want to preserve whatever monetary resource they have for the education of their children and their marriages. They are not ready to spare money for their films and sports. They like to keep on harassing their teenage children on the importance of systematic studies if they are to make their mask in life.

A teenager's struggle: Teenage is an internal, a psychological struggle against a part of oneself. At times, it is a struggle against one's parents as also against those near and dear ones whom one has been used to take for granted for unconditional support.

After the initial turbulence of early childhood and constant conflicts of middle childhood, one becomes a good child regularly going to school and adopting a pattern of behavior approved by one's parents.

The school reports of a promising the and well-behaved student have given a sense of relief and joy to the parents. One has grown accustomed to the patronizing way the relations treat him and does all little things he is asked to do by his elders.

Causes of adolescence: Truly speaking, unreserved awe and respect for the parents are the first casualties of adolescence. His father has been exhorting him since his early childhood that one should be fair to the fellow citizens and abide by the existing and constitutional law of one's own country. The hypocrisy of elders shatters his belief in the goodness of the world or of the universe.

When the phone call rings at the time of meals, the adolescents are told to reply to the man that his father is not at home. The value of speaking the truth no longer remains an article of faith with the child. An adolescent has to interact with his neighbors, schoolmates, teachers, and grocer unaided by the presence of his partners as has been the case in his childhood, and he finds the selfish attitudes and behavior patterns of adult baffling that he cannot take the world for granted, not even his own brothers and sisters.

But he has a great love and admiration for his father. Teenage is equally problematic for the teenager as well as his parents. He finds the whole universe full of wonder and excitement. He wants to partake of the sensuous enjoyment of sights and sports

A teenagers restlessness: The teenager's mind is always restless. He cannot concentrate on anything out of fickle-mindedness. He wants to hold tight to the certainties and security of his childhood, but simultaneously he feels inclined to have full freedom of undertaking adventures and enters a relationship with other individuals within the approval or even the knowledge of his parents.

He also resents bitterly the inquiries regarding his movement and the persons he is friendly with. He shows a temperant when he is advised by his father not to read comic/fantasy or watch TV. series/serials. He is against the idea that his parents still treat a 15-year-old as irresponsible. Everybody knows that a teenager is neither a child nor an adult. His parents do not have any business to tell him what and when to do.

A teenager's tendency: The teenage makes the teenager do something whimsically. He wants to materialize his own purpose by any means. He tries to do the work at his suit will. He expects none to meddle with his affairs. As teenager has no farsightedness. He is always influenced by emotions.

Conclusion: A teenage is a period which leads a teenager to grow up emotionally. He dislikes regulated life. Hence the parents must be alert in respect of their teenage children; otherwise, they will be nipped in the bud.
